Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium Funding

The Pupil Premium is funding provided to schools which is additional to main school funding. The amount of money provided to each school is calculated by the government according to different factors, including how many children in a school qualify for free school meals, Service Children and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months are in public care.

It is allocated according to the number of pupils on-roll who meet the following criteria:

  • Pupils eligible for FSM currently or in the last 6 years: £1,385 per pupil
  • Looked After Children and previously Looked After Children: £2,410 per pupil
  • Service children: £320 per pupil

We have high aspirations and  ambitions for all our children here at Walsh and strive to use this money to maximise their life chances and support them in reaching their full potential.
